The first in Poland laboratory, and for many years the only, specialised in testing all types of gas equipment, now associated in the European consortium of highest quality energy testing LABTQ, has an implemented Quality Management System ISO 9001 and the accreditation of Polish Centre for Accreditation (Accreditation Certificate for Research Laboratory No AB 041) as well as it has European notification NB 1450 in the field
of three new-approach directives.
SCOPE OF ACTIVITY
Accredited Laboratory for Gas and Heating Equipment Testing GU-1:
- efficiency tests of water boilers fired with gaseous and oil fuels for conformity with Directive BED 92/42/EEC “Boilers energy efficiency”
- tests of type conformity of equipment firing gas fuels acc. to standards harmonised with Directive GAD 2009/142/EC “Gas equipment”
- tests of metal and ceramic stacks and also of heating equipment fired with solid fuels, like fire places, stoves, and boilers, based on standards harmonised with Regulation EU No 305/2011
- tests of gas lighters acc. to standards PN-EN ISO 9994 “Lighters - Safety requirements” and PN-EN 13869 “Lighters - Lighters with operation made difficult for children - Safety requirements and testing methods”
- tests of electric and gas-electric equipment acc. to standards harmonised with Directive 2014/35/EU “Low voltage”.
INFRARED CAMERA INSPECTIONS
- Preparing expert’s opinions in the field of technical installations and gas equipment fed with hydrocarbon gases during operation by means of infrared inspection using an infrared camera with a function of hydrocarbon gases imaging FLIR GF320
- Preparing thermo-graphical expert’s opinions on stack installations and on flue gas discharge
- Preparing thermo-graphical expert’s opinions on technical electrical, heating, and water-sewerage installations and on their thermal insulation
- Preparing thermo-graphical expert’s opinions on mechanical, electrical, gas, and heating machines and equipment in accordance with standard ISO18434-1:2008 “Condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines – Thermography – Part 1: General procedures”

GAS MIXERS DESIGNING AND ASSEMBLING
Department of Fuel Usage based on own experience has specialised in designing and assembling gas mixers simulating fuels from various gas sources existing in the nature, which allows, inter alia, to:
- examine the fuels composition variability influence on the gas equipment operation
- develop new gas compositions for selected technologies in industry
